I took a trip to Alice's last week. She had about a century span of early american lighting on her dining room table. We were able to go through it step by step starting with the 1600's and talk about what they used for light in their homes! It was so fascinating! Here is the video of the beginning of the discusion. i broke it up into 3 parts. LOVE to learn history!
